AP Joint Sec budget

AP Joint Sec will collect the membership fee which could be
used by AP* Retreat sec to support secretariat activities. On
this issue BK Kim said that AP outreach sec, Korea office also
need one person salary from this budget. Each activities of
AP Joint Sec will have separate budgets. After discussion,
the budget was revised and it was agreed that we will present
the preliminary budget in to AP Joint sec meeting for final improvement.
We have 8 founding members .We need to ask them to pay memberships
fee to support AP joint Sec activities. To cover the rest of budget amount
we can make proposal to submit some UN agencies and we can request
them to support IT related activities in region, or we can ask sponsoring
organizations like ISOC, VeriSign, MINC and INFITT.

AP Joint Sec membership

We need to increase the number of members. Right now we
have these founding members APTLD, APAN, APNG, APNIC,
APIA, INFITT, APBionet, APDIP. The founding member organization
has to pay a specific amount as membership fee.ccTLD sec is not a
member. It is an activity. MINC may not be a founding member. We
can invite other organizations as members. It was also discussed
that we need to prepare a draft of bylaws for AP Joint sec. BK Kim
informed the participants that he is preparing a bylaws which could
be finalized in next AP* Retreat meeting. Dr.Kanchana said that we
could register as one-dollar company to handle the money issues.

AP Outreach

It was decided that we need to enhance our outreach participation
and we need to expand our circle to other Asia ?Pacific countries.
And also APNIC help with speakers and logistics.
Dr.Kanchan offered BK Kim that AP* Retreat sec can help to
organize outreach seminar by providing following assistance

1.AP* Retreat sec could prepare a list of AP Outreach activities and
can send this information to all AP groups for their comments.
2.AP* Retreat sec can help with networking and logistics
3.AP* Retreat sec could mange to write to outreach committee about place,
topics and to find speakers.

It was also discussed that next time when BK Kim will go for outreach he
should try to find some contact person and send this information to AP* Retreat
sec so they would compile a contact list for AP Joint Sec.

apsec.org

The main website "apsec.org" will be located in Seoul office.
Also both Seoul and Bangkok offices will have mirror sites in the
name of "kr.apsec.org" and "th.apsec.org".

AP Joint Sec activities

Now we have three groups, ccTLD Sec, AP Outreach and AP* Retreat.

1.Under the umbrella of AP Joint Sec , we can plan few activities like we can
do a survey of IT related Asia-Pacific organizations
